China's daily-use ceramics enterprises are experiencing foreign anti-dumping: On February 17, 2012, the EU initiated anti-dumping investigations on Chinese daily-use ceramics, involving an amount of US$ 713 million. On August 30, Mexico initiated anti-dumping investigations against Chinese ceramics, involving the case. The amount of 45 million US dollars; August 31, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan Economic Community initiated a survey on general protective measures for daily-use ceramics, to introduce technical trade measures on the grounds of protecting domestic industries; December 26, Brazil trade development industry DECOM decided to launch an anti-dumping investigation on China's daily ceramic tableware products exported to Brazil. On January 10, 2013, Brazil officially announced the list of sampled companies.
Take Hunan as an example. In 2012, the export of daily-use ceramics was US$298.5 million. Although the value of goods was only reduced by 0.04%, considering the appreciation of the renminbi and the abnormal growth of the import of Chinese-made ceramics in the first 10 months of 2012, Other markets have actually experienced a significant downward trend, and it is expected that the EU imported ceramics for daily use will also shrink in 2013.
In 2012, the value of daily-use ceramics exported to EU countries and the above five countries was 1,293,390 US dollars, accounting for 43.2% of the value of ceramics exported from Hunan. Among them, the export to the EU was 98.364 million US dollars, an increase of 17.5%. There are three main reasons for the rise in Europe: First, since 2011, the materials of most enterprises in Hunan have changed, the output of magnesia has increased greatly, and these products are suitable for the European market. Second, the anti-dumping measures against the EU are appropriate. Hunan Ceramics Half of the export-oriented enterprises entered the 26.6% weighted average tax rate list, which is much higher than the average proportion of responding companies in the country. Most of the enterprises' orders for export to Europe have not been affected. Third, some importers in Europe foresee changes in tax rates and place orders in advance. This led to a large increase in export ceramics in the first 10 months.
Although the United States did not join the anti-dumping ranks, most American exporters took a wait-and-see attitude, and the US market was also declining. The value of daily-use ceramics exported to the US for the whole year was US$515.148 million, a year-on-year decrease of 21.6%.
These circumstances indicate that due to the global economic downturn and the sluggish trade, in addition to the developed economies, the trade frictions between the emerging economies, especially the BRICS countries and China's daily-use ceramics, are increasing significantly, and the anti-dumping of export-oriented ceramics has a global trend.
