On Thursday night, Ramsey dined at Cassia, an Indian restaurant run by Auckland's famous restaurant owner and chef Sid Sahrawat.
Having spent two or three hours at the Ford Lane restaurant in Auckland's CBD, he said Ramsey ordered from their package and was in a good mood.
"It's amazing, he's such a star and one of the best chefs in the world," Sahrawat said . ".
"It is an honor for people like him to come to one of our institutions.
He ordered the menu and obviously we wanted him to eat a few more dishes.
On the main course, Ramsey ate beef short ribs, Kamala, cardamom and cashew nuts, as well as caramel duck with chedinald sauce and onions.
Ramsey also shared his tuna, ginger, cucumber and jade foot appetizers on Instagram, calling it "delicious ".
He ended his dinner with pineapple, cashew nuts, coriander desserts, and he simply labeled "wow.
Sahrawat says his team of chefs is as notable as his other guests.
"As a chef, you know how strong he is.
I think he has a good personality and energy.
Sahrawat said: "It was very encouraging to see him stay in the game for such a long time, our whole team, but he is still so energetic, so positive, for everyone
"It was really nice to see him enjoy what New Zealand is currently cooking.
"On a food tour of Auckland in Ramsey, Dr. Rudy did the same with the rooftop bar on the viaduct and the warehouse restaurant on Federal Street.
Warehouse Chef Al Brown said his staff found Ramsey "great in every way ".
According to Ramsey, Dabao's goldfish sashimi is "fantastic" with oyster cream, apple and fennel seeds ".
"His dad contacted me the day before yesterday and said he wanted a table," Brown said . ".
"We didn't have a reservation but he was Gordon Ramsey so he could have a table for sure.
It was nice to let him in and let him enjoy what we did by himself.
"He does TV, but that's TV.
He's a straight shooter.
The staff found him pleasant.
Ramsey has been flown to Queenstown.
It may be a visit to Josh Emett, his old partner Kiwi chef who has worked in the UK and the United States for 12 years.
