Brazil's second largest city, with a population of more than 6 million people, has a vibrant and colorful atmosphere and is very infectious.

Santa Teresa is a great neighborhood on the mountains near the Lama.
There are artists and writers, as well as quirky houses and small museums.
Unfortunately, the tram won't run until 2013, but the taxi is on the road.
The area used to be very poor, but some wealthy residents have moved back.
It is safe to walk around during the day, but avoid the back street after dark.
After visiting the small and bright shops, enjoy a leisurely cocktail at the dos desasados bar at the Santa Teresa Hotel.
This chic bar called "unmarried bar" is located at the bottom of the newly renovated hotel garden.

The restaurant is like a huge tree house that can only be reached along steep steps, but offers some delicious Brazilian food.

Luckily, the restaurant offers car services that will allow you to go down the steep hill after that. 11 p. m. -
Listen to samba, the national music genre of Brazil, and some of the best musicians play at the bar in the Rapa area.
The place is small, but the atmosphere is very active, where both samba and salsa dance perform. (
