This Cambridgeshire village's curry house has won best South Asian restaurant in the UK - low calorie indian restaurant dishes

Its food has won a great national honor.
Cottenham's Curry Palace Indian restaurant was named the best South Asian restaurant in the UK at the Asian restaurant and take-out awards (ARTA).
Alta is open to all South Asian restaurants across the country, so winning the trophy is a challenge for local restaurants.
Restaurant owner Kosru Miah said after winning the prize: "In my opinion, it's like winning the prize in the catering industry.
"We sincerely thank you for your support at Curry Palace.
Winning the national championship in 2,800 nominations is an absolute honor.
"I'm curious and excited, and from day one, hundreds of my loyal customers have supported Curry Palace.
"I never thought we would win a real victory from being nominated and chosen as the finale.
I can't express in words the real feeling of winning the Alta award.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank my loyal customers and dedicated team.
It would not be possible without their support, and I look forward to future efforts.
"The award was nominated by the public as a regional shortlisted restaurant.
Then, 30 of the most nominated restaurants had to compete face-to-face in a regional champion cooking contest, and the chefs had an hour to make a stop-eating show.
The regional championship is held at the Cambridge Regional College and the chef's dishes are judged not only by taste, but also by texture, appearance and aroma.
The award-winning dish known as the "Purple Tiger" was produced by the chef of the Curry Palace.
This is a unique dish cooked with king prawns and eggplant and coriander mixed in soup.
The top 10 restaurants from 15 regions were then invited to attend the awards ceremony at IHG 02 London.
Top restaurants in each region were awarded prizes, and they were running for the championship at the time.
Best New Talent and best chef award.
1,800 people participated in the event, hosted by Anisley Harriot, a TV chef.
Mr. Miah won gold and silver medals as the champion of Alta, beating more than 2,800 restaurants across the country.
