"Port Moody needs a casual restaurant that focuses on local beer and creative tortillas," said Scott McTavish, one of the restaurant's managing partners.

"I know the current scene of tortillas in the area very well and I think I can do something different," says Jeffrey Fegan, chef of Taps & tortillas, explaining the evolving menu.
"We absorb flavors from all over the world and combine them with the taco concept to create a unique taste experience that you can't get anywhere else.
"Fagan's background includes overseeing the creation of the food truck menu for Vijs rail and Marvel dragons, and he says he enjoys the opportunity to create fusion dishes that break the traditional boundaries of Mexican cuisine.
"I have always been passionate about the creative and eclectic mix of food," Fegan said . ".
"So, I'm looking forward to trying the world flavor in tacos de Vancouver.

Featuring spiced pork, Brazilian fragrant rice, grilled pineapple, pickled jalapeno, red cabbage and fresh milk; Korean Taco ($6/each);
