One of the co-owners of Maine’s famous Palace Diner is opening a new restaurant - new perkins breakfast restaurant dish

The Palace restaurant in Bedford is considered the oldest restaurant in Maine, a casual breakfast and lunch place because of its height.

Shopkeepers Chad Conley and Greg Mitchell bought the restaurant in 2013 and a lot of ink has been poured out since the pancake stack and legendary tuna melted.

He said the menu focused on classic, hearty meat and fish dishes, including Sunday barbecues, which he hoped would "remind people to eat at grandma's house at 3 or 4 pm.

Conley has started running his own project from the Palace restaurant-rose food, a Jewish deli.

Mitchell, who closed on November, contacted Tony delowa, one of the hotel owners and a palace dinner enthusiast, to see if there was any space available.
"I 've been thinking about doing something else," Mitchell said . ".
"I'm a little perfectionist and control freak, so I didn't feel comfortable accepting a new project until recently.
"The restaurant will consist of three rooms, one of which has a tin ceiling and fireplace, which Mitchell says will be used for large groups and parties.
The decorative influences from London and Paris will make the flood an ancient-
European atmosphere.
