Launceston's latest restaurant, which will open to the public on Tuesday, is inspired by the classic and comfortable cuisine of the southern states of the United States.
Dinner beauty owner George Galloway said the restaurant will serve breakfast and lunch from Tuesday to Saturday and dinner on Friday and Saturday.
"Breakfast will be in potato hash. xa0American style, but it also includes something of Australian flavor, such as avocado sweet potato,xa0We are making waffles, sweet and delicious. "She said.
"At lunch we had hamburgers and ribs, fried chicken and some pretty donuts. Desserts such as lemon crispy donuts, pecans pie, and Maple Donuts.
"We are taking the southern style of food and turning our own.
Mrs. Galloway said she has always enjoyed cooking, and after hearing that her brother and husband are raving about American spareribs, she is determined to make them at home.
After a few years of trying, now chef Alyse White and house manager Kelly Holmes have mastered a great deal of classic repertoire and they take the next step to share their passion and food with the public.
"We get together to cook and eat and talk about eating and saying it's delicious is a natural improvement and we should share it," she said . ".
The decoration has always been designed to make people feel comfortable.
"We want people to walk in and feel like they can sit here for a while, as if they were just going to a friend's house," said Mrs. Galloway . ".
"We all have a warm and hospitable background and we love the relationship and you can build it over and over again with the people who come in, you want them to feel like they can really enjoy the space they're in.
