The Curry on Friday night may be a lot of people's opinion on the food heaven, but in a new survey on Britain's favorite food, it's a traditional Sunday barbecue.
Baked dinner was rated as the ultimate comfort food by the respondents, crushing steaks and chips, jam scones, butter cream and apples into second, third and fourth place.
Many have long believed that chicken tika masala, one of the country's most popular dishes, was ranked 14 and beaten by pizza, lasagna and pasta Bologna.

A survey of British eating habits was conducted to mark the 25 th anniversary of BBC cuisine.
More than 10,000 people were asked about their favorite food, and traditional British dishes often appear on it.
Among the respondents asked by YouGov, some said that they cooked at least once a month a traditional barbecue, tasted the spaghetti sauce in a 49-percent ratio, and tasted the curry in a 43-percent ratio.
Although you can't walk on the street without passing through several coffee shops, the British cup of tea still has a place in the hearts of many people.
About the people announced it was the breakfast drink of their choice, which made the drink far ahead of coffee, which was favored among those surveyed.

The study also shows that the horse meat scandal seems to have little effect on buying and eating habits.
Although 42 points said the scandal made them pay more attention to the source of meat, less than a tenth (9 points) of people ate less because of concerns about quality.
To reduce spending on food, about 15 cents are now eating less meat than they were a year ago, while 65 cents say they are just sometimes, and they have rarely or never been to a local high street gourmet shop, 40 of them are in cost terms.

BBC Food editor Gillian Carter said: "The impact of the horse meat scandal means that people are more concerned about the source of meat.
Interestingly, however, more people cut meat consumption because of concerns about costs rather than scandals.
"The Butcher also doesn't seem to benefit a lot.
The vast majority of respondents only occasionally, rarely or never visit the shops on the commercial street, and the perceived cost is the most common reason.
The concern is that 5 million of respondents said they were unable to produce a recipe.
We know that cooking is a feeling.
Good activities, a large number of respondents said they feel happy, comforted or encouraged when cooking, so the more we encourage people to cook, the better.
Chef Tom Kerridge says he wants to see more people master the basics of the kitchen.
'We can see that the cooking ability is good across the country, but it seems that there is a group of people who have never learned the basics, including out of proportion men, 'he said.
Cooking does not need to be a big housework, and everyone can learn and enjoy the basics of cooking.
