: Indian restaurant chefs in the UK have come up with a smart way to help people reduce fat takeout
By reducing the calories in the curry.
According to The Mirror, 26 Indian restaurants were asked to reduce calories, salt and saturated fat in popular dishes without losing taste in a pilot program.
Now, it is planned to extend the "invisible health" program to other parts of the UK and promote it to take-out such as Chinese food and pizza.
"Most people already know that take-out food may not be healthy, but still choose to eat it regularly," said Dr Tony Gill, health director of NHS Lincoln County, who piloted the program.
