Make your own Valentine's Day gift.
Not only will you cut costs, you may also send the best Valentine's Day gift ever to your loved one.
Handmade Valentine's Day gifts may mean more "than just gifts from the store" (as the lyrics say ).
Cold porcelain flower making is perhaps one of the most tedious flower making activities for craft lovers.
However, even if it takes time to make a bunch of cold porcelain flowers, real craft enthusiasts can't help but make more because of its high yield.
The downside is-
It is fragile.
If you don't like fragile items, check out my foam flower making lens.
Foam can give you flowers that look almost real.
The photo shows part of the Wall Flower d. ©My sister did it. in-law.
At first, I thought it was bought from a comfortable home. ©Because it looks like a real porcelain.
All the details and all kinds of flowers make up it, it is almost irresistible to observe and touch carefully and feel the smooth texture of the porcelain.
Unlike foam flowers, I spent more time learning how to make cold porcelain flowers.
The key is to learn how to make dough.
You can make flowers with cold porcelain noodles.
You can even create cold porcelain roses that look real or any other flower you want to make.
You might want to assemble it into a perfect wall. ©Cor is as shown in the photo.
You can also make cartoon characters or any cute characters you want to make.
As long as you play your creativity, there is a very wide range of flexibility.
In our own way, we are all artists.
We like to create things.
In most cases, however, we have developed an interest in a particular art, making or starting production projects with enthusiasm, and our enthusiasm has weakened.
When this happens, all the time and energy we put into this art is wasted.
We also have time to create something that we finally gave up after a month or two.
When you deal with the art of cold porcelain, project what you can keep for the rest of your life.
Surf the internet for inspiration.
I'm not saying to copy something that already exists here.
Get ideas and create your own.
The cold porcelain flowers in the frame you can see above are created by my in son.
It's been almost ten and a half years since she made it.
It is still wonderful as always.
The ratio is 1: 1, so it's easy to remember.
It is: a cup of corn starch;
A glass of white glue and a tablespoon of glycerin.
Mix all ingredients to make sure the corn starch is completely dissolved. In a non-
Stick to the pot, heat slowly and stir continuously.
If you have been doing the maja blanca (a snack menu made mainly of cornstarch, coconut milk and sugar) you will think you are making your next snack, just this one is more sticky and dry.
You know that when the stirring gets a bit hard, you 've done the heating, just like you did with the cookie dough.
Take the pan off the fire, scoop the dough into the lubricated pan (I oil the pan with glycerin) and knead it while it's hot.
When it is as smooth as bread dough, place it in a sealed container so that it does not form a shell and eventually harden.
I just put it in a frozen plastic bag and close it with a knot.
To extend the shelf life, most of the cold porcelain crafts are advised to put this bag in the refrigerator.
I don't like it because I sit down once with dough or clay (which some call Clay ).
Only when I know I have enough time to do a few things will I do cold porcelain noodles.
When I can't find the glycerin in the store (you will find it in the pharmacy or in the beauty store), I actually replaced it with coconut oil.
Although the effect is good, the output of the coconut oil smell.
I got the idea after studying coconut on the Internet is rich in glycerin.
You need a small, thin but sharp pair of scissors to cut.
For shaping, you can try to use the dexterity of your hand in different shapes.
Find other sharp and narrow things at home because they are also useful.
You can shape your dough with a pointed pencil, spoon, fork, stick.
You also need a rolling pin.
I have a full set of molding and cutting tools, but I am not sure if they are available in all craft shops.
I have petal cutters of different shapes and sizes (sunflower, Magnolia, Rose, etc ).
These cutters are like tin cookie cutters.
Other than that, I have different leavespatterns too.
These plastic molds will copy the texture of the real plant leaves to make your project look "real ".
I have found some items on ebay and Amazon, please check the list below.
It is better to have the right tools for beginners.
You will be more satisfied with the results than finding improvisation tools at home.
You can also buy cold porcelain mud online.
You can choose to purchase it with a kit that contains some basic tools.
If you don't have paint at home, it's better to buy colorful clay.
Otherwise, I would suggest that you better get pure clay instead of colored clay.
For coloring, it is best to use oil paint.
I tried the normal watercolor and it turned out to be "matte" with no shine.
When coloring, mix the paint with a small portion of the dough.
It's enough to estimate what you need so that you don't waste your money.
