I mainly work with independent sales organizations in marketing.
But every time I see a chance to move in. .
I recently stopped at a restaurant. What attracted me?
A handwritten logo that highlights the fact that they are serving the dishes I like. Cool. I\'m in.
I see the manager is taking the marketing demo.
The guy is ready so from all the signs I know it's not a cold call. I think;
"This is great!
Let me put on my warrior!
So I sat there waiting.
I waited for a while.
As soon as the speech was over, I moved in.
With enough follow-up, I ended up having lunch with the owner and getting his cell phone number.
What happened next confused me.
They don't have a website, no signage, no junk menu, and their business is online, just like a place in my high school.
The owner understands the problems and says his commitment to ensuring the success of the restaurant stems from solving the small things. Easy sale!
Though much smaller than I thought. . .
I follow up every other day and I hear "Let's talk quickly" over and over again ".
Then he's cold.
Ignore text, phone and emailmails.
In the meantime, I stopped to talk to the manager and he didn't understand why the boss wouldn't go on with these things because most of his salary came from part of the sales. . .
This is the most strange situation I have ever seen in my life. . .
I will not sell/sell locally, but I will accept oppty when I see it.
Have you ever experienced such a thing?
You are dealing with a business owner who knows that there is no basic knowledge, signage, website, etc.
Is it like hitting uzi with a butter knife?
