If you belong to the generation who grew up reading and reading Oktavio pas, you will have a special relationship with Mexico.
If you're younger then there's a better reason to get in touch: Mexico is hot.
I'm not just talking about poetry, but about food.
Earlier this week, I caught a glimpse of Mexico at the Khan Market.
I was invited to try food at a new restaurant called La Bodega.
I must say that I was dizzy by the restaurant.
First, the food is good.
Second, the atmosphere is pleasant.
This is a good combination.
The first floor of the restaurant is a busy area packed with young people going out for lunch.
When I saw a wide shelf with fresh and colorful vegetables at the entrance, I had a good feeling.
I was sitting on the second floor where it was warm, sunny and light-as it led to the open air rest area.
The color is very cheerful and the experience is very pleasant.
Two sisters behind the restaurant
Neeti and heritage book-
Who wants to open a Mexican restaurant because it's a food that somehow doesn't find a location in the sun in Delhi.
So they travel back and forth, do research, find an excellent chef from Mexico, and come up with a restaurant that offers a variety of street food, as well as a nice list of main courses and desserts.
I tried a lot of dishes.
At the street food festival, I ate a braised duck taco with fried beans, pico de gallo (
A bitter umber salad)
There are also avocado sauce and avocado sauce.
I tried it.
Thai salteado, or shrimp salad steak and spicy mayonnaise, champiñones million Sandwich, garlic and dried corn with chili red chili, bean paste, sour cream and fresh cheese.
All three were great, but I especially liked the garlic mushrooms on the salty fried bean paste.
I also really enjoyed the next salad-betabel, a delicious mix of grilled beets, fresh Feida cheese, oranges, caramel nuts and mixed vegetables.
Tortillas, tinga de polllo con queso-a soft corn flour pack with chicken-pulled stuffing with onions, peppers and cheese tomatoes-is also pretty good.
I love the sharp taste of onions and peppers, and the soft cheese and tart tomatoes will satisfy me.
I was full when the main course came.
I asked them to cancel the recommended fish and decided to focus only on kochnita pibir --
Slow boiled hand-torn pork cooked with banana leaves and achiote, served with refrigerated beans, pickled pineapple and fresh tortillas.
The pork is soft and the sauce is mixed with a variety of flavors.
I was told that Ada is a seed that has both color and sweetness --
The food is very spicy.
I told myself I wouldn't touch dessert --
Tres leches, cooked with three types of milk, paired with Chantilly cream and seasonal fruit-but when I saw it and ate the first scoop, I found myself getting weaker and weaker.
Great. I almost finished it. Prices vary.
Street food prices are between rupees.
375 and 425, fish and vegetables between Rs.
500 and 925 and meat Rs. 595-925 (
The latter of Australian leg meat).
The restaurant will open a counter at the ongoing taste feast at Nehru Park, where it will offer less street food at a lower price.
This is a place where I have to go back.
