Gatineau issues boil water advisory for two sectors - man washing dishes restaurant

Gatineau has released a water-proof consultation for two areas along the Gatineau River.
Each includes a section of St. Street.
Louis and the streets nearby.
Residents in these areas are advised to boil water for one minute before consumption.
The consultation only includes water to be consumed or used to brush your teeth.
When a pressure drop occurs in the system due to planned work or an unexpected event (such as a broken water pipe), precautions are issued.
Gatineau says tap water may change color.
If this is the case, turn on the cold water faucet and keep the water running until the water is clear again.
Water can be safely used for bathing, shower, laundry and washing dishes.
Residents are also advised to throw away any ice made from tap water when consultation takes effect.
Once the preventive boiled water consultation is canceled, the city will notify the residents immediately and urge the residents to ensure that their phone number and email address are in the database of the city.
