I am looking forward to visiting the Mediterranean family restaurant as it has been several years since we last ate there.
On a cold Saturday in February 1, I walked out of the snow and into the entrance hall of the restaurant. I immediately felt familiar and welcome.
Their Mediterranean
Inspired decor, combined with warm yellow and dark blue, reminiscent of photos sitting in a beach cafe
Iron chairs and wooden tables.
There are rows of messy wines on the walls, as well as various plants and vases to create a comfortable atmosphere.
They make the most of the space available for dining.
On the left side of the front door is an elevated room that can be used for large groups and can also be divided into smaller tables.
On the right is a row of tables extending to the back of the restaurant, with an elevated area at the end of the room.
My husband and I arrived at the place to eat very early and were invited to choose our table.
Our waiter brought the menu and a glass of water as soon as he sat down.
In the spirit of the environment, I ordered a glass of Greek white wine ($6. 50)
My husband chose a Greek beer. $7).
Since we were not in a hurry, we decided to order the appetizer first when considering the main course.
There are a lot of Greek and Mediterranean appetizers here, so we ordered three.
The first one arrived at Keftedis ($6. 95)—
Serve delicious Greek meatballs with tzatziki dip and pita triangle.
The meatballs are hot and cold dip is a good contrast as I feel the meatballs are a bit dry.
Then we tried the Dolmadakia ($9)
The vine leaves are stuffed with a mixture of lean beef and herbs, heated on the egg sauce.
They are delicious, but I feel the sauce needs to be eaten quickly because it is thick when it cools and it is getting harder and harder to scoop.
Finally, of course, it is also our favorite ($6. 50).
Delicious lasagna with vanilla, spinach and goat milk cheese, hot and crisp.
We stared at the last piece.
Our main course arrived soon.
I chose Polo Saltimbocca ($21. 95)
Boneless chicken breast made of garlic, Italian ham and cheese.
The menu explained that saltimbocca meant "jump in the mouth" and I soon found out that it was a good description of the dish.
I tasted several flavors in the first place.
The chicken is tender and soft. the Italian ham and garlic sauce are salty. the cheese filling is almost sweet.
Delicious.
The grilled Greek potatoes next to them are delicious, but the rice and side dishes are useless.
My husband's shrimp sauce. $19)
Two skewers of prawns marinated with garlic, olive oil, lemon sauce and roast wax were advertised.
The taste is very good, and it is not done too much.
Shrimp is served with potatoes, rice and vegetables.
As the restaurant was not busy, our waiter agreed to my husband's request and added me a small Greek salad ($2)
Despite the warning of "no change", he insisted on his main route.
"Prepared with plenty of fresh lettuce, onions, Kalamata olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh oregano and feta, stir with a homemade dressing from the Mediterranean.
For the most part of our meal, I was distracted by the dessert display, so, despite the remaining food to take home, we decided to share a piece of Baklava ($5. 95).
Its sweet layer of Chiba pastries, honey and chopped nuts did not disappoint us and we did it effortlessly.
When she visited our table throughout the meal, our waiter was laid back, but attentive and comfortable to advise on the menu.
We really enjoyed our return visit to the Mediterranean and will definitely come back.
