DINING OUT; Middle Eastern Dishes in Mamaroneck - main dishes menu restaurant

By M. H.
REEDMARCH 22,1998 turquoise is a witty name for this great little restaurant with walls as blue as products from the Mediterranean and Middle East with a distinct Turkish flavor.
Expect simple characters
There are many kinds of barbecue, delicious rice and vegetables, from bold and bold cuts to unspeakable delicious and smooth.
It seems that diners are fully prepared for the unforgettable taste of this kitchen dish.
On weekends, even if the booking is confirmed, diners may wait a long time due to the difficulty of the service staff and the kitchen to meet the uninterrupted needs.
It makes sense to dine early or within a week.
While the presentation may be casual, most dishes are as delicious as described on the long menu.
Diners who have questions about how to start a meal may order a mixed meze platter, a delightful appetizer that includes rice --
Grape leaves, humus soil, tabule, ezme (
Slightly spicy crushing of tomato, pepper, parsley and pine kernel)
There is also an eggplant salad, and these little mounds are waiting to be replenished with some soft Pitts throughout the meal.
Or try cacik, a mixture of cucumbers, garlic, yogurt, just like the tsatsiki in Greece, with only a thinner, gentler taste.
But skip the sigara borek, or the delicious rolls;
These crispy pastry cigarettes full of cheese taste small.
The grilled squid is a bit chewy to eat, but we will try again.
The spicy flavor of the promised saffron in the sauce proved undetectable;
However, the food was fine without it.
There are plenty of salads to choose from;
We tried Greek dishes, and the rich greens, chopped vegetables, and mutton stuffing did not disappoint us.
Whether it's an appetizer or an advertisement for the main course, the salad is delicious and tender.
Also should not miss some other Exquisite entrees such as beyti kebab, two broken lamb with long bread, plus onions and parsley, just like most of the entrees here, put in a piece of rice
Baked kofte is also prepared.
The ads listed on the menu are yogurt kebabs, which are based on a round of pita bread, which soaked a lot of delicious yogurt, all of which are the basis of the roast beef slices.
While hunkar bevendi means cream sauce eggplant puree, more importantly: mozzarella cheese is mixed with smoked eggplant and cream for an intriguing
Sliced vegetables and rice, grilled chicken juicy but pale in color compared to other dishes.
The shrimps are usually at hand. We like them best. There are many dill roses;
Rice instead of ho-
Fried potatoes usually served.
The fish fillet of red apper fish is also great, and the skewers of swordfish are also great, but the choice of this fish was snapped up very early, and the owner Emin Acar kept a small supply to keep it fresh.
We were not so impressed with the use of a slightly acidic tomato sauce dish.
Too extravagant to use, it swells other ingredients such as scallops, shrimp and squid in Mediterranean seafood, mutton mulsaka and vegetable steamed sofas which are a bit hot but too much oil.

Dare to taste them with dark and delicious mud known as Turkish coffee.

At present, diners may bring their own alcoholic drinks when turquoise is waiting for the wine brand.
