Bodyguard Jacquie Davis on why the job isn't all glamour and excitement - michelin star restaurants dishes

Thanks to the success of the TV series bodyguard, interest in the profession has never been as high as it is now.
I 've been around the world several times.
Private jet, five and six star hotel, Michelin star restaurant.
I have been taking care of pop stars, royalty members in the Middle East and top ceo.
To avoid a wide range of riots, I smuggled a client from a Turkish hotel to dress them up as a chef and Porter and used an employee minibus to sneak them to the airport.
I was stabbed twice and shot several times.
These are just some of the things I have been able to do as a bodyguard for over 30 years.
But it's not all the excitement and charm in any form.
The truth is that you can easily sit in the hotel corridor for 12 hours and minutes.
People don't always think it's a job.
In my case, I started with police in my 1970 s, but realized early on that there was a very different private safe world out there.
I decided to go this way because there were no women doing it in those days and I think I could do a lot of different things.
From surveillance to undercover, I really like the idea of picking what I want to do.
The training lasted about six weeks and was very strict, but it was a good thing.
It taught me a lot.
These guys are really happy to have me and I bring a lot of skills than men usually don't have.
In this line of work, women are very short and I always drum up for girls to do close protection.
The professional advice teacher did not mention the bodyguard, so I don't think many young girls know it.
They have the softer skills you often need because a lot of our work is diplomatic.
Women don't have this testosterone, and it's helpful that men may be a little optimistic in this case.
Women are born breeders and naturally take care of them, so they can bring some great skills.
As far as I am concerned, it is helpful for me not to stand out from the underwear department in Harrods.
You may laugh, but this kind of thing can be important in this line of work because you need to fit into the background.
In this sense, this is very different from the stereotype.
These big, burly men go to work in suits and sunglasses.
People also don't understand that what gives you information is a complete intelligence team.
You have a surveillance team.
Not just the bodyguards you see, but the entire team in the background.
Look at the bodyguard series on the BBC.
It's a great drama, but it's a bit far away.
It is acquired because it continues to move forward.
I had to fire some people before because they were too close to me or had a relationship with a client, just like what happened in the play, but it was always a man.
I never fired a woman for that.
I think this is the art license you gave them in the TV world, as I learned by consulting a movie Close, which is about to come to Netflix.

I missed my job and my trip.
One of my most memorable times was the rescue of a British pregnant woman kidnapped in Pakistan.
Just before the rescue, former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, whom I had protected, recognized me at the hotel, and a few hours later, I received an anonymous call saying, "go out, they know why you're there ".
But we didn't leave without the hostages, so we took her in and left.
We must walk for three days, sleep during the day, and cross the Himalayas at night to escape to India.
The pregnant woman, who was beaten, starved and raped for three months, was a real hero wearing a pair of flip-flops.
So I really want to go back to the track because I know my skills will be stretched and I have a lot to learn.
