You know the old guidelines about packing your vacation: lay out the clothes you think you need, and then take only half.
Please keep this in mind when you visit the authentic Chinese food in Harvest Moon.
Like the restaurant itself.
Room 400plus total)and the menu (
The best 350 options I can determine)
The weight is huge.
According to the price, we think the quantity of food is good for two people and can easily feed six people or even more.
I mean, a total of $44 for five different dishes?
This is great food, freshly made with condiments and sauces, reminds me of eating "real things" in China and at the home of friends who immigrated from there ".
All the dishes were prepared from scratch, but arrived at the table at an amazing speed.
Now, it's a bit scary for some to mention "authentic" Chinese food.
Yes, there are indeed vegetable tripe and "blood jelly sausage" on the menu of Harvest Moon "(
Hey, every culture I can think of has some in-house food)
However, you can also choose from more familiar chow mein, fried rice, ribs and kung pao chicken.
Something for everyone.
We chose the exotic Middle Road, took a noodle dish off the main menu and went to mixand-
Match, where you pick a certain number of dishes from the special list at the set price ($17.
$99 for any two, $26.
Three $99, $35.
99 for four, etc).
The choice of noodles is Ha Yue vermicelli ($7. 99)
A large plate of delicate noodles, stir thoroughly with a gentle sweet and sour sauce
It might be a bit more sour for my taste
Soak inside to create a damp but not damp base for shrimp, BBQ pork pieces, egg fry, bean sprouts, carrots and onions.
A mix of taste and texture.
Four kinds of mixingand-match dishes ($35. 99)
I asked for a variety of ingredients, preparations, and spice heat, so we picked black bean sauce eggplant and tofu, garlic fried chicken, sweet and sour fish slices and Sichuan shredded meat (
There are only 134 other options).
The eggplant came first. a metal frying pan filled with Japanese eggplant pieces was stewed until very tender. The big tofu was fried to the outside, but it was still cream, enjoy yourself with onion slices in black bean sauce, as it's already quite light, so it's not too salty and ends up eating a little pepper.
Garlic Chicken is a monster, a very big bird steamed a whole half, so the meat was wet and fried quickly, so the skin was brown and crisp, there is also a pile of fried garlic, and although there is soup, they have lost their irritation. Delicious.
One thing to note, though, is that the chicken is in Chinese style, not carved, so you have to pay attention to the bones of each piece.
Sweet and sour fish is a plate of white fish with many slices (
The server does not know its English name;
I think it's carp, which is very popular in China)
Bread and fried crispy outside, but still wet inside, with onions, red pepper slices and sauce.
Again, I prefer to take a bite of vinegar in the sauce, and next time I will ask if it is possible to put the sauce aside and soak it so that the fish stays crisp.
But the quality and taste of this dish is really good.
Then there is shredded meat, which is the star of the night in my opinion.
All the dishes were very good this evening and in my opinion it was very good.
The matchstick of tender pork was stirred
Stir-fry traditional fungus or something like that with onions, carrots, bring a little squeaky sound and blurry dirt to the plate, and finally finish with a mild soy gravy, this gravy is a Chinese specialty of vinegar and some serious hot packaging of chili peppers.
Recall and enjoy again.
As we walked up to the exit with a stack of takeout boxes with leftovers, I realized that the rest of Harvest Moon had almost all ordered snacks and the portions were more restrained.
Obviously, these people have been here before.
