What? Decent Chinese food in Chinatown? - most popular chinese restaurant dishes
Hey, time traveler!

Therefore, the information in it may no longer be up to date.
I have a love-
Hate Relations with Pembina Highway.
I hate traffic.
I hate the driver behind pressing the horn impatiently and slowly searching for Invisible addresses in pain.
I don't like driving home in the summer, driving home in the winter and seeing the dazzling sunshine.
Still, I often drive to Pembina because there are some of the best Chinese food in town that I can find right now.
So you can also find delicious Chinese food in Foon Hai.
Located on the edge of our old Chinatown, close to any part of the city and clearly visible around the corner of William and Adelaide --is a blessing.
It's a cozy little place, simple but not bare
Bones made of wood
Half of the walls are paneled and the top half is decorated with some lovely Chinese silk embroidery.
The menu is one of those long menus (
Try to select from 190 items, don't hesitate)
But it does not list unfamiliar dishes or any ingredients that may be considered esoteric.
The price is standard Chinese restaurant bargains and the price ranges from $10 to $14, although I really like the new, often mysterious dishes I found in Pembina, I also like the long-lasting, ubiquitous standard of hot and sour soup, Wood shu crepes and crispy chicken.
The spicy smell of Fuhai-
The sour soup is the perfect balance between chili and vinegar, as I found it anywhere, very nice, sorry I didn't order the bigger ones. The pan-
The fried lunch I 've tried recently can't reach the ones I used to eat here --
OK, but the taste is thin and the packaging is thick.
On the other hand, steamed pork dumplings are great --
Bigger and more juicy than most people, with the taste of mushroom soil
This is the best I can remember.
Another great appetizer is the wooden shu pancake.
I'm sure the bean sprouts and the usual filling of the meat or vegetables of your choice will also be good, but the roast duck we choose is wrapped in fresh cabbage, hot pancakes with delicious seafood sauce are a highlight of this meal.
Another highlight is the crispy chicken, which seems to have never been --fail dishes.
I don't think I 've ever eaten at least not very good, but it's great here --
Half marinated chicken with intact bones and skin, deep
It creaked and cut the bones into rough pieces.
You can order ordinary, or you can order soy sauce and onion like us.
The juicy shrimp, simply fried with flour and oil pan, is great.
In the newly added food, another top choice can be found, small and delicious five spice salt and pepper pork chops, which are skillfully seasoned with five spices and simply seasoned and fried.
Despite its pepper symbol, it only gives a slight sting on the tongue.
In fact, none of the dishes marked with pepper are spicy, but the delicious beef tofu (a. k. a. mapo tofu)
Closer than anyone else to its "spicy" description.
Any dish on the menu shows only one pepper symbol, but if you ask for the food to be very hot, I am sure the kitchen will heat it up with as many peppers as you wish.
If you pay more attention to the details, some of the other dishes may be ranked as high as above.
Our steamed sweet
For example, the basa fillet of meat stuffing has a lovely, subtle flavor, which we would prefer once we drained them from the super salty soy sauce pool.
There is also a vegetable mixture in Basa (
Probably less, not even soy sauce)or deep fried.
Our dried beef noodles are also delicious and may be another good option if the beef is not finished --
Soft, soft texture.
The delicious chewy little twisty beef in ginger fried sweet and spicy beef does not have that paste texture, but if there are more ginger and spices, there will be more features, less sugar
Shrimp with lobster sauce has always been my other favorite in the past, but this time, although the shrimp is still great, the sauce is made of corn starch and there is not enough pork to season, there is not enough black beans to season, and finally there are a few super-cooked scrambled eggs.
Disappointing but at least we can enjoy the shrimp. The Singapore-
Style vermicelli completely failed-
Unpleasant dry, with only a slight Curry, dotted with shrimp and-without taste and softness-
Very economical-
Only a few small pieces of roast pork.
We did get lucky cookies but my future looks dull
Fried bananas with ice cream are sweeter ($5. 75).
The service was good, the arrival time of the food was well arranged, and from time to time we were asked if everything was satisfactory.
To a large extent, it is. marion.
