The Devonport fumby hotel is recognized as the best bistro in Australia.On Monday, in Gold Coast, Formby won the Best Bistro area Award at the National Excellence Award of the Australian Hospitality Association.Mark Kader, operations manager of Goodstone Group, owner of Formby, said it was good news for the company and for the country."We were just shocked to win the national award, but actually surprised to win the national award," Mr Cardel said .".He said he believes the award was voted by "mystery shopper" and that Formby is clearly scoring a high score.Mr. Cadel said the car was a bit special in his opinion."Obviously it's important to eat delicious food, but you are as good as your staff and we have a lot of staff," he said .".He paid tribute to chef Lucas Edwards for his consistent efforts as he led the kitchen team in Formby."He is a tower of strength and they are supported by excellent flooring staff.Kader said it would be a great opportunity for the region."We had a lot of tourists coming to the state and left soon, so hopefully it will help to put Devonport on the map, and he said:" give people another reason to stay and eat something.
