The CBS News series, the status quo of the United States, partnered with print partner USA Today to analyze various statistics that illuminate different aspects of American life.
On Tuesday, the morning show looked at American eating habits.
Oh, how did they change!

According to the American Journal of Medicine, 43% of American families eat together every day.
The CBS research figures also reflect this.
According to a CBS News poll, 74% of viewers claim that they have been eating together as a family, and 78% claim that they eat together "most of the time" on weekends.
However, what we are doing has changed by the time we eat.
It used to be a family sitting on a table without distractions.
Now, however, television, electronics
Emails, text messages and cell phones have begun to invade the table, and the results are surprising.
According to the survey, 33% of viewers said the TV was always on for dinner, and 27% said it was on half the time, or sometimes.
5% of the audience said they were texting at the table.
Mailing or using a mobile phone throughout the meal, 10% replied that they sometimes felt guilty about it.
