Bulverde's EnJoy Caf? serves up coffee and smiles - low calorie dishes at italian restaurants

Enjoy a cafe like a coffee shop in a novel or movie, with charming and comfortable local art pieces decorated inside, and the warm and friendly staff, perfect sandwiches and entrees, shame any Bistro or deli.

Clayton, who has worked in Houston for 16 years, was the owner of her own catering business before moving to Canyon Lake.
A few months later, she returned to the food industry to market her salad sauce in the name of "enjoyment.
When she found out that a coffee shop was on sale, she bought the store and added a kitchen that served sandwiches and daily entrees, such as pasta, turkey burgers, chicken fried chicken and chicken chops.
"I bought a coffee shop to market my salad sauce," Clayton joked . ".
"This is the most expensive marketing tatic I have ever done.
In the morning, fluffy omelette, waffles and a cup of coffee grits attract people to relax before the start of the day.
At lunch, Clayton and her staff prepared paninis, Rueben sandwiches and soups for the guests, including tomato basil and baked potato soup.
The menu will be extended to include lighter, lower
Calorie dishes in summer.
"This is great," said customer Tarek Elkadi . ".
"I have been here for two consecutive days.
This is a great place to sit down and relax.
"I don't know what to explain," his wife Mary agreed . ".
"It's not typical American food. It's so good.
Here you will not find Monte cricos and Ruebens anywhere else.
Clayton's right.
Hand man is planning to go to cooking school while working at EnJoy Cafe.
Heuszel and Clayton made the menu together and prepared the dishes for the customers together.
Although the two are decades different in age, they share the same perfectionist tendencies and obsession with detail.
Clayton especially likes to chat with customers and make sure they like their meals.
"What she taught me was incredible," Heuszel said . ".
"I learned more from her than any other chef.
Only me and her in the kitchen, one on one.
We have been pursuing excellence.
"I like to cultivate Chris's ideas," Clayton said . ".
"I know I won't do business forever.
Chris loves this.
His parents want him to be a lawyer, but that's not what he likes.
He is very eager to learn. I like to teach him.
We have a great team here.
"It's important to enjoy the cafe, knowledge and attention to detail.
Barista Brittany heberte is proud of the details she knows that make her expressos and mochas the best ever for her customers.
Italian soda and coffee are also served.
"We grind and drip our own Express," Hebert said . ".
"I know how to make the best cappuccino you 've ever had.
It's a little bit of a fact, like knowing that you have to have a quick drink right away or it's too bad.
People like to know these things.
"This summer, the EnJoy cafe will also hold an event for teenagers in the background.
The room is called the canteen for teenagers.
Teenagers and older children are welcome to do homework or play games from 1 to 3 p. m.
Monday to Friday.
Italian soda, milkshake and malt wine will be served by Clayton.
"It's a safe place to write homework," Clayton said . ".
"Several people asked me if I was interested in having a special day for the children.
I took it a little further and made a room for them.
It gives them a safe haven where they can go.
They are not running the street or making trouble.
