Best Chinese Restaurants Awards, Vancouver 2012 - most popular chinese restaurant dishes

Shine on the world stage by Mia stanby Vancouver's local Chinese restaurants, and the annual Chinese Restaurant Awards help illuminate them.
Last night, at the fourth CRA annual meeting, 23 restaurants won the award for signature dishes.
Some are new awards, and some, such as the harbor, landmark hot pot, Emerald seafood, Alvin gardens and Dynasty return again and again.
There are some new people, like James of Hastings (for dry-
Fried crab with curry)and Hoi Ton (
Fried milk and balsam pear omelet in Daliang).

I noticed this new noodle shop and stopped by to see what was going on recently.
"Champion Beef handle and taro root cake" was won by chef Hong Taiwan beef noodles.
"I was told at the time that there was an established store at Aberdeen Mall in Richmond, but the North Shore residents had been asking the owner to open another one.
Now, I'm going to do more than just "wander ".
Another aspect of the award is that the dinner choice award was announced last month.
Craig Stowe, President of CRA, said that China, the God of Chinese cuisine, left a deep impression.

He said there was also seafood, beef and pork in Alberta.

There are more than 500 Chinese restaurants in the Lower Mainland, and many cooking trends start here and move to mainland China.
He said: "Every CRA event has raised international interest, but it has also stimulated competition and enthusiasm between chefs and restaurant owners.
The Canadian Tourism Board is also aware of how huge a business card our Chinese restaurants are for tourists.
Every year, a new project is launched in CRA.
Last year was the best Chinese chef of the year.
This year, they will produce a live-action documentary called the Chinese chef, describing the image of eight top Chinese chefs and cooking their signature dishes.
The documentary will be broadcast on Omni TV later this year.
"The city really accepts the fact that we have the best Chinese food in the world outside of China.
"Restaurant owners and chefs are happy about it," said Stowe . ".
