Never mind.
But Peter Calvert knows that some valuable things were lost last week when his Rushant camera turned off.
This is a long-term fixed location on Vancouver's West 10 th Avenue, where several generations of neighbors found their first camera.
"I have been here for more than 50 years, standing in the same place.
It's a sad situation to have to leave, "Calvert said.

Relax on these pages to celebrate the retro sites that refuse to disappear.
In terms of this feature, we have defined "retro" as doing almost the same thing in the same location with the same name since at least 1959.
(We do not include those who moved, such as Kerrisdale Hill, which opened in 1914 but crossed the street in her 1970 s.
) Filmed separately, these vintage sights seem almost quirky to their neighbors, a curious place that will never change.
Overall, however, they are the front line against shopping malls, brands and General cities across North America.
Those who maintain these retro venues are largely convinced that they retain something to celebrate: an independent venue with personal style and real interpersonal interaction.
This is not easy in a lower continent, and it often abandons the past in the process of its rush to develop.
I was surprised that there were very few retro places that survived in old areas such as Ladner, lamleburg and Chinatown.
Kerrisdale, Hastings Street corridor, New Westminster and Cloverdale all have the strongest vintage pockets.
You might take these pages and get out of the house and spend a weekendor two —
Discover the past in the present.
In general, these ancient places tell stories about our city and our culture.

Founded in 1913 by Wong Goon, No. 1, Pengde Street.
In Chinatown, when it was in its 1960 s, it moved to 511 Karal Street across the street.
The 84-year-old son of Goon, Bill Wong, has worked here for more than 70 years.
The store belongs to him and brother Jack.
Now their younger brother, Milton, is re-developing the original building and the modern tailor will soon be back on Pendley Street.
"A few years ago, he bought the building for emotional reasons and provided us with a space for a family gesture," Bill said . ".
