1918 is an important member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
It marks the end of World War I and the beginning of the Legion.
After the war, many groups emerged to support veterans.
A few years later, a unified coalition of Dominion Veterans was formed.
Soon became the Canadian Legion of the British Empire Service Alliance.
The Royal Canadian Legion was established by parliamentary act in 1926.
Awarded the status of "royal" by the queen in 1960
It has been nearly a century since veterans were served.
